Chris Yiu is Director of Public Policy at Meta, where he leads the company’s public policy teams across Northern Europe. Meta owns and operates apps including Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp, produces Meta Quest VR headsets and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and is pioneering an open approach to AI and innovation. He is also a non-executive director of the Tony Blair Institute and an advisor at the David Hume Institute.
He previously led the global Technology and Public Policy team at the Tony Blair Institute, and before that was a General Manager at Uber. His career spans a range of public, private and third sector organisations including McKinsey & Co., HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office, Policy Exchange and SCVO.
