Ed is CEO of Marcol Health, which is a specialist investment house focused on investing in health services and technology businesses (telehealth, diagnostic imaging, corporate health, MedTech). This stemmed from being a business leader with 25 years’ experience in the healthcare sector with a reputation for building businesses, accelerating growth and managing complex diverse international operations.

Previously, Ed was Global Managing Director of Optum International. Optum is the services and technology division of UnitedHealth Group - a $500Bn market cap healthcare company - where he had the responsibility of leading Optum’s international business units and several US employer-sponsored divisions.

Prior to that he built and led the largest global mental health platform providing psychological care across 100+ countries and started a ventured-backed healthcare business in Central & Eastern Europe, Medicover, which is now the largest private healthcare business in the region with revenues of c. $1.5Bn providing services in over 10 countries.
