Kerry is an award-winning innovation leader, globally recognised for driving strategic change and transformation in the public and private sectors. As a trained machine learning developer and former advisor to the Alan Turing Institute and British Standards Institute, Kerry brings technical expertise alongside a strong focus on ethical AI , practices, ensuring innovation is both cutting-edge and responsible. With international recognition for work in innovation, ethics and governance, Kerry currently advises governments, including the UK AI Taskforce on developing AI regulation. Formerly the head of service development and innovation within UK Civil Service, Kerry has led large-scale digital initiatives, guiding organisations, businesses and brands on design, development and implementation of new and enhanced strategic operating models, and ongoing improvements to operations for improved services, outcomes and efficiencies, including through digitisation and AI-driven transformation. Working closely with academics, industry leaders and standards makers, Kerry also drives forwards innovation roadmaps and frameworks that prioritise the needs of citizens, customers and consumers. Kerry is a member of the Responsible AI Institute and the International Data Science Foundation, is listed in the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics Globally and was a finalist in the AI Implementor of the Year Award.
