Rula is an AI lead, currently working in neurosymbolic systems and languages models, and serving as the UK lead for Women in AI. With an MSc in Machine Learning from UCL, where she conducted NLP research under DeepMind’s Professor Sebastian Riedel, she excels at translating cutting-edge research into market-ready products.

As the former AI research lead at Logically, a CogX award-winning startup, Rula led efforts to combat dis/misinformation, driving product development, and leading team to publish in top ML journals like ACL and ICML. Her work has been instrumental in safeguarding election integrity for global clients.

Rula is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusivity in AI, embodying Women in AI’s mission to ensure no one is left behind in the AI revolution. She is also an angel investor in high-growth AI startups.
