Mrs Sheila Mmbijjewe was the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) from June 2015 to June 2023. In that period she was part of a leadership team that oversaw significant changes in the Kenyan financial system, making it more resilient and responsive. In addition to her work in Kenya, she was also a board member of the African Stability Board that analyzes the financial landscape across the continent and helps guide policy actions to mitigate volatility and enhance growth.
